Ingredients

    frozen yam patties, cut in half

  • 16

    crescent rolls

  • 2

    cups water

  • 2

    cups sugar

  • 1 1/2

    stick butter

  • 1

    tsp cornstarch

  • 1/4

    Tbsp cinnamon

  • 1

    Tbsp vanilla

Directions

Wrap each yam half in roll. Lay in 9x13 pan Heat water, sugar, butter, cornstarch and cinnamon in sauce pan until sugar and butter melt/dissolve. Add vanilla and stir until mixture is hot. Pour mixture over roll-wrapped yams. Bake at 350 degrees 40-45 minutes until rolls turn golden brown. Serving suggestion: Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of dumplings
