Sweet Potato Dumplings
- 8 frozen yam patties, cut in half
- 16 crescent rolls
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 stick butter
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
Wrap each yam half in roll. Lay in 9x13 pan
Heat water, sugar, butter, cornstarch and cinnamon in sauce pan until sugar and butter melt/dissolve. Add vanilla and stir until mixture is hot. Pour mixture over roll-wrapped yams.
Bake at 350 degrees 40-45 minutes until rolls turn golden brown.
Serving suggestion: Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of dumplings
