Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 8 oz shitake or regualr mushrooms sliced
- 1 large onion
- 2 lb. asparagus trimmed, roasted or grillled and cut into pieces (reserve tips)
- 2 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper

Step 1
Melt 1 Tbsp butter and add mushrroms cooking until brown, about 6 minutes. Remove from pan. Heat remaining 1 Tbsp butter and add onion, cooking until carmelized, about 12 minutes. Puree onion, asparagus (except reserved tips), chicken stock, and salt in food processor. Return to pot with mushrooms and pepper. Garnish with asparagus tips.
