Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped apples, cored but not peeled
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Cream or ice cream to compliment

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine cranberries, apples and 1/2 cup brown sugar and turn into a greased nine-inch square baking dish. In a small saucepan, combine remaining brown sugar, oil, oats and salt over low heat until thoroughly mixed. Sprinkle over fruit mixture. Bake for one hour. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
