Pumpkin Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 cup flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1/8 tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 cup pumpkin
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 1/2 cup nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar together until light.

Add unbeaten egg and blend thoroughly.

Sift together flour and spices, add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin.

Add raisins and nuts.

Mix well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet about 2" apart, flatten slightly.

Bake 400 about 15 minutes
