Cheese and Onion Drop Biscuits

  • 1 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 c flour
  • 4 t baking powder
  • 1 T sugar
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/3 c cold butter
  • 1-1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c chopped green onions
  • 1 c milk



Step 1

Heat oven to 450 degrees. In large bowl mix flours, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in cheese, onions, and milk just until moistened. Drop dough by 12 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove immediately from cookie sheet.
