Perfect Pear Dessert

By

I fixed this for some friends and they told me to name it Perfect Pear Dessert. It is so easy, and so perfect. Make sure to find Creme Fraiche -- it does make a difference.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut the peeled pears in half and use a melon baller (or a spoon) and scoop out the seeds in themiddle of each half.

Melt the butter in a sauce pan that can be put in the oven, on the stovetop. (Make sure the handles aren't plastic.) Add the pears with the cut side down and cook on medium until lightly browned. Turn the pears over, add the brown sugar and simmer until the brown sugar is melted.

Heat the oven to 350. Put the sauce pan with the pears, butter and brown sugar in the oven until bubbly, about 10-15 minutes.

Take the pears out of the oven and place one pear half on a dessert plate. Dollop a tablespoon of creme fraiche in the center of the pear where you scooped out the seeds. Drizzle a little of the butter and brown sugar mixture over top and serve.

So easy, but so delicious!
