Ingredients

  • lb. loaf:
  • 1 c. old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 c. apple juice or the reserved juice from canned peaches
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 c. bread flour
  • 1/4 c. miller's bran
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 1/2 c. peeled, pitted, and chopped peaches (fresh, frozen, or canned, well drained)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp. yeast
  • lb. loaf:
  • 1/2 c. oats
  • 2 Tbsp. juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 c. bread flour
  • 3 Tbsp. bran
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 c. peaches (see above)
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp. yeast

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting and press start.

After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
