Topsy- Turvy Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Glaze and Crust:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1/2 cup pecan halves
- 1 box (15 oz) refridgerated pie crust softened
- Filling:
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups thinly sliced and peeled apples
- Topping:
- Whipped Cream or Cool Whip

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 425. In a 9 inch glass pie plate mix brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Spread evenly in the bottom of the pie plate. Arrange pecans over mixture. make pie crust as directed on the box for 2 crust pie.
In a small bowl mix white sugar, flour and cinnamon. Arrange half of apple slices in crusted line pie plate. Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining apples and sugar mixture. Top with second crust. Seal edges and flute. Cut slits on the top in several areas.
Place the pie on a sheet of foil on teh middle oven rack and bake 8 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 and bake 35 to 45 minutes until crust is golden brown.Immediately run a knife around edge to lossen. place serving plate upside down over the pie
remove pie plate. Serve warm with topping.
