Preparation
Step 1
1. Rinse the fresh corn quickly in cold water. Remove some of the outer husks and the silks. Let the inner husks remain intact.
2. Turn back the inner husks care¬fully. Brush corn with a little oil, if desired. Sprinkle corn with fresh herbs.
3. Wrap the bacon slices around the cobs.
4. Cover with the husks. Fasten with toothpicks, if necessary.
5. Roast or grill the corn ears over medium hot coals, turning them a few times. Time depends on how fresh the corn is, usually 20 minutes would be enough.
6. Serve the corn directly from the barbecue grill. The bacon drippings and the herbs add a new sensational taste to the corn.
Outdoor cooking has always been irresistible. The aroma of the food sizzling on the grill makes the whole meal something very special.
