Impossible French Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 c tart apples, peeled, cored & sliced
  • 1 1/4 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 t ground nutmeg
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c biscuit mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 c bixcuit mix
  • 1/2 c chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 c light brown sugar
  • 3 T butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 deg. Grease a 10" pie pan.

In a large bowl, mix apples, cinnamon and nutmeg together; turn mixture into pan. In a separate bowl, beat sugar, milk, 1/2 c biscuit mix, eggs and butter until smooth. Pour over apples.

To make Streusel: In a small bowl, stir together 1 c biscuit mix, nuts, brown sugar and butter; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle streusel over top of pie.

Bake in preheated oven for 55-60 mins; until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
