Spareribs, Sauerkraut and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. spareribs
  • 2 tbsp. fat or vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 1 lb. cans sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 8 potatoes, whole
  • 1 1/3 cups water

Step 1

Brown ribs in fat in a 6 or 8 quart roaster at 350 degrees. Season with salt and pepper. Put sauerkraut in bottom of cooker and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place ribs and potatoes over sauerkraut. Add water.

Cook in oven until meat and potatoes are done.
