Step 1

in a bowl mix 4 ½ c thawed frozen shredded hash browns with 6 tbsp butter and salt and pepper. Then take four, 9 oz ramikins and greese them, then add the potato mixture and press in. Then make the filling which is melt ¼ c butter and add ½ c onion. Then add ¼ c flour, 2 tsp chicken bouillon granules, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and ½ tsp dried basil. Mix and then add 2 c milk and bring to a boil, the filing will thicken. Then spoon into ramikins. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes. We tried this on 11/18/08 and Jackie and I really liked it. Kyle hated it. Ryan thought it was ok. It could have been cooked a little longer as the hash browns were not crisp. It make quite a mess and the ramikins were very hot but still good.
