Ingredients

  • 8 oz uncooked orecchiette pasta
  • 3 thick sliced bacon, diced
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and separated leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • 1 T lemon rind, grated
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 t unsalted butter
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1/8 t crushed red pepper

Step 1

1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omit salt and fat.
2.While pasta cooks, cook bacon in large skillet
Until crisp. Crumble or dice, set aside. Add Bessel sprout leaves to pan, sauté with garlic slices about 4 mins. Stir in bacon, lemon rind, juice, butter, salt and pepper. Add pasta, toss to combine. Serve immediately.
