Spicy Cajun Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 dozen large shrimp, or 1 pound peeled & deveined
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1/4 c. beer - room temperature
  • 1 large tomato, diced

Preparation

Step 1

Clean and devein shrimp - drain well. Combine seasonings in small bowl. Combine butter, garlic, Worcestershire and seasoning mix in large skillet over high heat. When butter is melted, add tomato, then shrimp. Cook 2 minutes, stirring. Add beer, cover and cook one minute. Serve with rice.

May be doubled - may take another minute or two for each step.
