Tomato Soup Dressing

I once asked a family friend for this recipe and she responded that if I married into the family she would let me have it. Well that was over 40 years ago and I am still waiting. LOL Its ok, I figured it out long ago. Here is a close version.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup to 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup to 1 cup oil (I use light olive oil)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 cup vinegar (I use cider vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground celery seed (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • If you want to make this creamy French, add a tbsp of mayonnaise

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients except oil in blender cup. Blend, drizzling oil into mixture slowly until emulsified. Chill well. Makes 1 quart.
