Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbs water
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 large cooking apples, peeled & sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Whip cream (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl beat butter & brown sugar until pale & fluffy. Stir in flour, 1 tsp cinnamon & water until smooth & thick. Stir in pecans. Mound apples in a 9" pie plate. Mix sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Spoon pecans topping over apples in dollops. Bake on lowest rack in preheated 375 degree oven for 40-50 min. Serve with whip cream if desired.
