    bunch Fresh Asparagus

  • 1

    -½ Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 2

    pinches Sea Or Kosher Salt

  • 2

    Tablespoons Finely Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Directions

Preheat broiler. Rinse asparagus, and chop about 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of each spear. (I do this in batches, not each separate spear. That would up my prep time!!) I cut on a diagonal, though I’m not really sure why. Place the spears on a cookie sheet in a single layer. Drizzle the olive oil onto the spears, then sprinkle on the delicious sea salt. (You don’t need a lot of the salt to taste. It’s very flavorful.) Last, toss the parmesan cheese on top. Stick the pan under the broiler for approximately 5 minutes. The spears will be bright green, and the cheese will be barely toasted. The spears will still be slightly crisp when you bite into them.
