lb chuck roast (ideal, but can substitute other cuts)
pkg onion soup mix
c beef broth
pkg Italian dressing mix
Combine mixes and broth in crock pot, mix well. Add roast and simmer on low for 7-8 hours or on high 4-5. It is done when the beef is tender and flakes easily. Fork-pull the beef, spoon onto sandwich rolls and add toppings of choice like peppers or cheese or grilled onions.
