Sharon’s Lettuce Wraps

  • 1 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 can water chestnuts, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely diced
  • 2/3 cup finely grated carrots
  • 2/3 cup peanuts (not dry roasted)
  • 1 tsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Spicy Szechuan Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Stir Fry Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Trader Joes Black Bean Ginger Sauce
  • Seasoned Wok Oil
  • Whole Iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and well chilled


Servings 4


Step 1

In a small bowl, combine three sauces to taste and set aside. Brown meat, drain grease, crumble. Stir fry peanuts in small amount of wok oil until lightly browned. Drain on paper towel. Stir fry vegetables and garlic in wok oil until tender crisp. Return meat to pan. Add sauce mixture and cooked nuts. Warm through. Serve with lettuce leaves.
