  • 1 loaf crusty French bread
  • 4 ounces duck fat (available at fancy butcher shops)
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt - (to 3 tbspns)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 Macoun apples

Step 1

Preheat grill or broiler.

Cut bread into 1-inch thick slices and grill until dark golden brown. Smear each slice with 1 to 2 teaspoons duck fat. Sprinkle each slice with sea salt, then rosemary. Serve warm with apples for slicing.
