MOZZARELLA & TOMATO SALAD

  • 7 OZ small sweet tomatoes
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 9 OZ buffalo mozzarella
  • pine nuts
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • balsamic vinegar

Step 1

Cut the small tomatoes in half – they must be sweet and juicy.

Rinse the basil and dry it.

Cut up the mozzarella, the pieces can be irregular in size. Set everything aside.

Toast the pine nuts in a pan over a high flame to release their aroma and then set them aside to cool.

Place the ingredients in a circle on a plate, alternating them in this order: half a tomato, a piece of mozzarella and a leaf of basil. Continue in this manner till everything has been used.

Add the toasted pine nuts to the salad along with a trickle of olive oil, a pinch of salt and a few drops of balsamic vinegar.
