Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 1/2 oz can chopped green chilis
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp Mexican seasoning
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 8 oz can Mexican style tomato sauce
  • 8 1/2 oz package cornbread mix

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef and drain. Add chilis, onion, seasoning & chili powder; cook until onions are tender. Add tomato sauce & simmer. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions; pour 1/2 batter into slightly greased baking dish. Spoon beef mixture over batter & top w/ remaining batter. Bake at 350 for 25 - 30 minutes or until cornbread is golden.
