Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 6 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup melted shortening
- cold water
Details
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix first 4 ingredients together.
2. Add oats & melted shortening
3. Mix like pie pastry adding just enough water to make the dough hold together ( approximately 1 cup- but add a little bit at a time)
4. Roll out very thin
5. Cut to desired shape and bake 10-12 min @ 350 degrees or until bottoms are lightly browned.
