Ingredients
- Salad:
- Dressing
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Dash pepper
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 Tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- Dash of red pepper sauce
- 1 Tablespoon snipped parsley
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1 Tablespoon & 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 head iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 head romaine
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 2 scallions, sliced
- 1 can mandarin oranges

Preparation
Step 1
Shake dressing ingredients in tightly covered jar and refrigerate.
Cook almonds and 1 Tbsp. & 1 tsp sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Cool and break apart; store at room temperature.
Tear lettuce and romaine. Place lettuce, celery and scallions in plastic bag and refrigerate.
Five min. before serving, pour dressing into bag; add 1 can drained mandarin orange segments. Fasten bag securely and shake until greens and oranges are coated. Add almonds and shake.
