Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup onions, diced
  • 1/4 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup red bell peppers, diced
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cups creamed corn, canned
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup corn, frozen whole kernel
  • 1 1/2 Tbs vegetable base
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a sauce pot, over medium heat, melt butter or margarine. Add onions, celery and peppers. Saute for 3 minutes.

2. Blend in flour. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

3. Add water, creamed corn, frozen corn, potatoes, vegetable base, Old Bay seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and gently boil until potatoes are tender, approzimately 10-15 minutes.

4. Add milk and cram. Reurn to a gentle boil for 2 minutes.
