Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 5 lb potatoes
  • 2 lb onions, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • Dough:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tbsp oil

Preparation

Step 1

Make the dough: Mix all ingredients and knead. Let the dough rise for 1/2 hour.

Boil the potatoes. Drain and Mash.
Heat the butter in a saute pan, over medium heat. Saute onions in butter, until clear.
Add the onios to the mashed potatoes and mix well. Let the filling cool.

Roll out the dough until thin.
Spread the cooled filling to 1/4-1/2 inch thickness. Roll the dough, like a jelly roll, to form 1 roll. Stretch (or roll) your roll to increase the length. Cut into 1 1/2-2 inch strips. Pinch the ends and from a circle.

Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
