Ingredients

  • 1 1/2

    lbs. bulk pork sausage

  • 3/4

    cup chopped onion

  • 10

    cups coarsely chopped cabbage

  • 1 1/2

    cups sour cream

  • 1 1/2

    cups shredded american cheese (6 oz)

  • 1/4

    tsp salt

  • 1/4

    tsp pepper

  • 1 1/2

    cups soft bread crumbs

  • 1

    tbsp. butter, melted

Directions

Cook sausage and onion over medium heat until sausage is brown. Drain off fata, stir in cabbage. Cook, uncovered over medium heat about 10 minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Drain off any excess liquid. Stir in sour cream, cheese, salt & pepper. Transfer sausage mixture to a 3 quart baking dish. In a small bowl, mix bread crumbs, melted butter and sprinkle over sausage mixture. Bake uncovered @ 375 for 20 minutes of until bread crumbs are golden.
