Caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola

Ingredients
- Crostini Toast
- 1 medium baguette
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola
- 2 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 ounce Gorgonzola cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Toast
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange the bread slices on 2 large baking sheets and brush olive oil on both sides. Bake about 7 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely
Onions
In s saute pan add olive oil and onions. Cook on medium heat.
Sprinkle with a little salt. Cook or about 8 minutes or until it begins to brown. Add water and a dash of sugar and cook until water has evaporated in the onion has caramelized. Let cool. Preheat oven to 350 degrees arrange the toast on a baking sheet. Top the toast with a little onion and then a small piece of Gorgonzola on top. Bake for about 4 minutes or until cheese has slightly melted.
