Plum Torte Bars
- 1 1/2 lbs of prune plums
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
Wash, pit and slice plums and set aside.
Mix flour, sugar and salt. Cut in butter.
Add lemon juice and eggs and stir thoroughly until mixed.
Pat into greased 10 x 15 inch baking pan.
Arrange sliced plums over pastry.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over plums.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 minutes.
Cut in squares and serve.
