Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups peeled and diced Granny Smith apples (about 1.5 lb)

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Bake pecans in single layer in shallow pan 8-10 minutes or until toasted
Stir together brown sugar and next 3 ingredients
Stir together flour and next 2 ingredients; add to borwn sugar mixture, and stir until blended. Stir in apples and pecans. Pur mixture into a greased and floured 13x9 pan; spread evenly
Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes or until pick comes out clean
Cool completely, then cut
