Ingredients

    c rhubarb

  • 1/2

    c sugar

  • 1/2

    c shortening

  • 1 1/2

    c sugar

  • 1

    egg

  • 2

    c flour

  • 1

    teas soda

  • 1

    teas baking powder

  • 1

    c sour milk

  • 1/4

    teas salt

  • 1

    teas cinnamon

  • 1

    teas vanilla

Directions

Mix rhubarb with 1/2 c. sugar and set aside. Mix shortening and 1 1/2 c sugar well. Add the egg. Mix all dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk and vanilla. Add the rhubarb last. Bake one hour at 350 in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
