Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tblsp corn startch
- 2 tblsp white karo syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Dry strawberry jello (1 box)
- 2-4 pints of strawberries
- Crust:
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup crysco shortening
- 3-4 tblsp cold water (add last, until small pea sizes)

Step 1
Crust:
1. Form ingredients into ball. Sprinkle surface with flour. Roll to 9" pie crust. Turn over and reflour surface
2. Place into pie plate. Cute edges with-in 1/2" and fold under
3. Bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes
4. Remember to prick pie all around sides/bottom so it will not bubble
Filling:
1. Boil until thick (watch closely). Stirring constantly. Mix corn startch and water first and then add sugar.
2. Remove adn add few drops of red coloring (optional).
3. Add 3 tblsp of dry strawberry jello. Let cool and keep on counter for 20-30 minutes.
4. Take homemade pie crust and put some of glaze on bottom of crust.
5. Fill strawberries (whole or sliced) over bottom of crust.
6. Add glaze every 2 layers.
7. Keep in fridge.
