Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Corn Starch
  • 1 Pound Boneless Chicken (1/2 inch cubes)
  • 1/2 Cup Reduced Sodium Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 Cup Orange Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Corn Starch
  • 2 Teaspoons Canola Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Canola Oil
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Orange Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 3/4 Cup Snow Peas (slice into thirds)
  • 8 Ounce Can Water Chestnuts (drained and sliced)
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil

Sesame Chicken with Snow Peas

1 Tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
2 Teaspoons Corn Starch
Mix together in a medium sized bowl.

1 Pound Boneless Chicken (1/2 inch cubes)
Add to the bowl, toss to coat well, and set aside.

½ Cup Reduced Sodium Chicken Broth
¼ Cup Orange Juice
1 Tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
2 Teaspoons Corn Starch
Combine in a small bowl and set aside.

2 Teaspoons Canola Oil
Reserved Chicken
Heat the oil in a wok on medium high.
Add chicken and stir fry 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
Put the chicken back into the bowl and pour the broth mixture over it.

1 Teaspoon Canola Oil
3 Cloves Garlic
Add and stir fry 15 seconds.

1 Onion (chopped)
1 Orange Bell Pepper (sliced)
Add and stir fry 2 minutes until they begin to soften.

¾ Cup Snow Peas (slice into thirds)
8 Ounce Can Water Chestnuts (drained and sliced)
Add and stir fry until the snow peas turn bright green.

½ Cup Walnuts (chopped)
1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
Add and cook for 1 minute.

Reserved Chicken in Broth
Add and cook 1-2 minutes until it reaches a boil and thickens.
Serve with 1/3 cup brown rice for a total of 412 calories.
