Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds, chopped, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 5 cups 5 cups frozen strawberries or mixed berries
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with shortening or cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, oats, brown sugar, almonds, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture is crumbly and begins to hold together.

In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar and flour. Add berries and lemon juice; toss until coated. Spoon berry mixture into baking dish. Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over berry mixture.

Bake 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden. Serve warm.
