Ingredients
- * Glaze:
- 1 * 1 cup sugar
- 2 * 2 eggs
- 2 * 2 tbsp softened butter
- 1 * 1 cup solid pack pumpkin
- 4 * 4 cups flour
- 2 * 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 * 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 * 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 * 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 * 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 * 1 cup cream
- * oil for frying
- 3 * 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3 to 4 * 3 to 4 tbsp milk or cream

Preparation
Step 1
Beat sugar, eggs and butter in a large bowl. Beat in pumpkin. Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat in milk. Chill 1 hour. Heat oil in deep fryer or skillet until very hot but not smoking. While oil heats, knead dough and roll out on floured surface to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Cut with doughnut cutter, then drop into oil for 3 minutes, turning once with tongs. Drain on paper towels. When cool, mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over doughnuts. Makes about 36 doughnuts.
