Pecan Glazed Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 15 oz. can of solid pack pumpkin
  • 12 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup of brown sugar, divided
  • 2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 frozen 9-inch deep dish pie curst
  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Step 1

Preheat oven and a baking sheet to 375 degrees.

In a large bowl, use a wire whisk to mix together the eggs, pumpkin, evaporated milk, 3/4 cup of brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Place the frozen pie crust on the preheated baking sheet. Pour the filling into the crust. Bake 40 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 cup of brown sugar, pecans and butter. Crumble the mixture over the top of the partially baked pie. Return the pie to the oven and bake it for an additional 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center come out clean.
