Ingredients

  • 1 can luncheon meat (similar to Spam)
  • 1/4 medium onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper, roasted
  • 10-15 olives
  • 1 jar Cheese spread (Cheez-Whiz)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • 1 loaf sandwich-style bread, crusts removed (keep crust to make bread pudding or bread crumbs)

Preparation

Step 1

In food processor, blend luncheon meat, onion, bell pepper and olives until finely processed. Add cheese spread, mayonnaise and hot sauce and blend until smooth.

Spread mixture on a slice of bread and top with another slice of bread. Cut into diagonal cuts and cut again crosswise to make 4 triangles for each sandwich.

Repeat for remaining bread and serve as appetizers.
