Ingredients

  • 2 bags spinach (washed and dried)
  • 2 tablespoons onion diced
  • 6 slices bacon diced
  • reserved spinach water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dash of chili powder
  • flour
  • two slices of white bread
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation

Step 1

parboil spinach and save water
dice bacon
brown bacon until crispy in Wagner Fry Pan (iron skillet)
Remove bacon onto paper towels to drain
Add onion to bacon grease and brown until it starts to carmelize
Make a rue out of flour and spinach water; add spinach to frypan......
Thicken spinach with rue
Add torn white bread to spinach and return bacon to pan, add dash of chili powder and serve with Prime Rib Roast of Beef or Pork Roast.
