Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Filling:
  • 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries partly thawed (or
  • raspberries)
  • 1 package prepared Dream Whip or 1 cup
  • Whipped Cream

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. Combine Crust ingredients and mix into crumbs. Spread on cookie sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Watch closely….burns easily! Cool.

Spread 2/3 of the Crust mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Combine beaten egg whites and sugar. Add berries and lemon juice. Beat at high speed about 10 minutes. Fold in Dream Whip. Spoon whipped strawberry mixture onto the crust. Top with remaining crumbs. Freeze about 6 hours. Serve frozen but remove from freezer a few minutes prior to serving. Thaws quickly.
