Ingredients
- 24 to 28 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup margarine or butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Preheat oven to 200F. Spray a large pan with Pam or spread with margarine.
Make the popcorn and keep warm in the oven.
Put margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a heavy saucepan. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, allow to boil 5 minutes without stirring, or to 250F on a candy thermometer.
Heat oven to 250F.
Add vanilla and baking powder, stirring until well mix. Pour around the popcorn, stirring quickly so that all popcorn is coated with mixture. Bake coated popcorn in oven for 1 hour, stiiring every 15 minutes. Let cool completely, break pieces apart and store in ziplock bags.
