Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust - rolled out onto a cookie sheet, uncooked
  • 3 - 4 large granny smith apples (peeled & chopped)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter (cold)

Step 1


Preheat 450 degree - Bake for 10 minutes and then lower oven to 350 degrees for another 40 min

Mix apples, sugars and spices and carefully pour over the pie crust leaving edges of 1 ½ inches around the perimeter.

Take edge of crust and fold over piles of apples gently. The crust will look very rough and looking uneven and rustic.

Dot the top of this pie with bits of the butter
