Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 can (16 ounces) sliced peaches
- 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation
Step 1
Pour butter into 2 quart baking dish. Set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup of juice. In saucepan, bring peaches and juice to a boil. Remove from heat. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Pour over butter. Spoon peaches over batter. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve warm.
