Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce


The sauce is so much better than store bought jarred sauce.

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 2 1/2 cups water (use less for thicker sauce)
  • 5 tablespoons honey (1/3 cup)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Water to dissolve cornstarch



Step 1

Mix together the brown sugar, garlic, ginger, 2 1/2 cups water, honey, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil. Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl; stir into the sauce mixture until thickened.
