Orange Slice Cake

In bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well
- 1/4 c. oil
- 3-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. sugar
- 9-oz. pkg. orange slice candy, chopped
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 8-oz. pkg. chopped dates
- 1 t. baking soda
- 2 c. sweetened flaked coconut
- 2 c. chopped nuts
Chocoholic's Parfait

In medium bowl, combine chocolate milk and pudding mix; mix until well combined and thickened
- 2 cups chocolate milk
- 1 (4-serving size) package instant chocolate pudding and pie filling
- 1/2 cup (3 ounces) mini semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely crushed chocolate chip cookies
PERFECT ROLL OUT SUGAR COOKIES

Preheat oven for at least 30 minutes before baking cookies
- 6 cups flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. Vanilla Flavoring
- 1 tsp. salt
Fruit Cocktail Cake

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar approximately 2 minutes or until light creamy yellow
- Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups white flour
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 19 ounce can fruit cocktail including syrup
- Icing:
- 3/4 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
Roasted Red Potato Salad

- 13 small red potatoes, diced ($1.99)
- 3 sprigs of rosemary ($.30)

- Drizzles of olive oil ($.10)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise ($.25)

Glossy Chocolate Frosting

The original recipe for this thick chocolate frosting was my grandmother's
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Sugar substitute equivalent to 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup cold water
- 4 1/2 teaspoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Crock Pot Lasagna

In a bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, 1 cup of the mozzarella, 1/4 tsp each of salt and pepper, and all the spinach
- 1 (15oz) container part skim ricotta
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 cups (8oz) part skim mozzarella, grated
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of fresh baby spinach, roughly chopped
- 3/4 lb. lean ground beef (at least 90% lean)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (can use jarred)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
- 1 (26oz) jar of your favorite marinara, or your favorite homemade recipe
- 4-6 dry lasagna noodles
Quinoa and Apple Breakfast Cereal
