Navy Bean Soup

1. Soak beans in water overnight
- 1 lb dry navy beans
- 8 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped finely
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp ground thyme
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 ham hock, or 1-lb ham pieces
Split Pea Soup

1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker 2
- 2 cups dry split peas
- 2 quarts water
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 4 slices Canadian Bacon, chopped
- 2 Tbs Chicken bouillon granules, or 2 chicken bouillon cubes.
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper
Cheesy Shells with Broccoli and Ham

Prepare pasta according to package directions; add broccoli during last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking time
- 1 Package Large Sea Shells
- 1 Package frozen Broccoli Cuts (16 oz)
- 1 can Broccoli Cheese Soup
- 2 Cups Fully cooked Ham cubes
- 1 Package shredded sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Cup Milk
Lemon Pie

Mix all ingredients together
- 1 box Good Luck pie filling
- 3 eggs yolks well beaten
- 3 Tbs corn starch
- 1 1/2 Cups sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups water
Broiled Tilapia Fillets

Place tilapia fillets in a shallow dish; sprinkle with garlic powder
- 1 1/2 pounds frozen tilapia, thawed
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce

Chicken Salad

Directions 1 In a medium bowl, whip cream to soft peaks
- 2 1/2 cups cooked chicken, diced and chilled
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup seedless grapes, cut in half
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup pecan halves or 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

1. Line a 10-by-14-inch rimmed baking sheet with plastic wrap
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 2/3 cup beef broth
- 1 1/4 cups dried chopped onions (about 3 1/3 oz.) *
- 2 1/2 cups hot water (or more if needed)
- 20 small dinner rolls (or 7 hot dog buns cut in thirds)

- 4 Pork Chops, trimmed of fat
- 1 cup Coca-Cola, Regular

Cook the butter and linguine in salted boiling water until almost al dente
- 8 oz linguine
- 2 Tbs butter
- 1 lb Shrimp- cleaned and halved
- 1/2 Cup olive oil
- 1/2 Cup dry white wine
- 8 cloves garlic - crushed
- 2 dashes soy sauce DO NO OVERDO, BUT IMPORTANT
- 2 Cups heavy cream
- salt and pepper
Moros y Cristianos Recipe

1) Rinse the rice in cold water until water runs clear
- 3 cups white rice
- 1 large white onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- Olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 can tomato paste
- 2 cans black beans w/ liquid
- 1 tsp. cumin
- Pinch of saffron
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
