Parker House Rolls

Place milk in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces, plus more for brushing
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 6 cups all-purpose flour
Beef Noodle Skillet

A fast meal that's tasty and easy on the budget
- 6 cups broad egg noodles, uncooked
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 (10 ounce) can mushrooms, undrained
- 1 (10 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup light cream cheese spread (1/2 a tub)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Sweet and Sticky Pork Ribs

Directions For the ribs: Place the ribs in a roasting pan, cutting the racks in half to fit if necessary
- 3 pounds pork spareribs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Soy Glazed Green Beans

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and season generously with salt

- 2 pounds green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

- 7 saltine crackers, finely crushed (about 1/4 cup)
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh sage
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Texas Roadhouse Rolls

In the bowl of an electric mixer, dissolve yeast in the warm water with the teaspoon of sugar
- 4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 cups milk scalded and cooled to lukewarm
- 1/2 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar, separated
- 3 tablespoons melted butter, cooled slightly, plus additional for brushing
- 7-8 cups flour (I used about 7 1/2 cups)
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt

- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Texas Roadhouse Rolls - makes 5-6 dozen smaller ones, but I made 19 larger ones.
Pomegranate Yogurt Smoothie

Combine ice, banana slices, yogurt, pomegranate juice and honey in a blender and blend until smooth
