Basic Salted Caramel

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons milk (any type)
- 1/2 tablespoon coarse or flaky sea salt*
Neapolitan Layer Cake

To make the chocolate cake, butter and flour the edges of a 9-inch round pan, shaking out the excess flour
- For the chocolate cake:
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp. dark cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup black coffee
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- For the white cake:
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 tbsp. unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup very cold water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- For the strawberry cake:
- 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 oz. strawberry gelatin
- 8 tbsp. unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sweetened strawberry puree*
- For the filling:
- Easy vanilla buttercream or good quality strawberry jam
- For the strawberry buttercream frosting:
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries (8 oz.), rinsed, hulled and coarsely chopped*
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 sticks (1 1/2 cups) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- To make the strawberry puree, process partially thawed frozen strawberries with a bit of sugar in a blender or food processor until smooth. If using sweetened frozen strawberries, no additional sugar is necessary.
Cheesy Crockpot Cowboy Casserole

Instructions 1.Place all of the ingredients except the cheese in a 4- 6 quart crockpot and stir well
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash
- 1 lbs small red potatoess, sliced thin (about 4-5 small red potatoes),
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 lb ground beef browned and drained
- 1 can of diced tomatoes with liquid
- 1 cup canned corn
- 1 can dark red kidney beans
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
Cheese Fondue

In a small bowl, coat the cheeses with cornstarch and set aside
- 1/2 pound imported Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cherry brandy, such as kirsch
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Pinch nutmeg
- Assorted dippers
Slow-Cooked Creamy Mushroom Tomato Chicken Thighs

Arrange the onions on the bottom evenly of the slow cooker
- 1/2 cup onion, sliced
- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 10-ounce package White Mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 15oz can crushed tomatoes
- 15oz can tomato sauce
Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray

White-Chocolate Cherry Shortbread

- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and finely chopped
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 12 ounces white chocolate baking squares with cocoa butter, finely chopped

In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) beef broth
- 1 can (11-1/2 ounces) V8 juice
