Place rack in center of oven and heat to 350 degrees
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs divided, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur (optional)

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of cream of tartar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups fresh blueberries, washed and stemmed
- Confectioners' sugar
- Blueberry Sauce (optional but see below)
- 2 pints fresh blueberries, washed and stemmed
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar or more to taste

Heat water in a very large stock pot until boiling
- 2 lobsters (1.5 lbs each)
- 2 Tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 Tbsp garlic, chopped
- 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 1 6-oz pack fresh spinach
- 3 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 stick cold butter, cut into pieces
- Sea salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 12 oz spaghetti, cooked according to package directions
Craisy Oatmeal Cookies

Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
Basic Yellow Cake

Preheat oven to 350° Cut wax paper to fit the bottom of (3) 9 x 1 1/2-inch round pans
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (do not sift the flour)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- Vegetable oil
- 1 stick butter (not margarine), softened
- 1-tablespoon vanilla extract

Huevos Rancheros

1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 500 degrees
- Serves 4
- Use a heavyweight rimmed baking sheet; flimsy sheets will warp. Serve with refried beans and hot sauce.

- 1/2 cup chopped canned green chiles

- 6 (1-inch thick) slices French bread

- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 2 tablespoons pineapple juice or orange juice

- 1 8-ounce can crushed pineapple (not drained)
- 1 cup grated carrot (1 large)
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup raisins, preferably baking raisins (see Ingredient note)
