Preparation Heat the oven to 325°F Cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla until light
- 1 cup butter, 8 ounces, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 3/4 cups flour, sift before measuring
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups finely chopped pecans
- sifted powdered sugar for decorating the cooled cookies

Check that your dried ’shrooms are hydrated
- 1/4 ounce dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound ground pork

1. Make the crust: In a small liquid measuring cup, combine the vinegar, vodka and water
- For the Crust:
- 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
- 2 tablespoons vodka
- 1/3 cup ice-cold water

- 2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 2 pounds sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) plus 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 2 medium onions, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 pound fresh picked cooked Maine lobster meat, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1 teaspoon salt (about)
- 20 twists of freshly ground pepper (about)
- Chopped cooked lobster meat for garnish
