If you are going to bake the dish, preheat oven to 375-400°
- Biscuit Crust:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 TB. flour
- 1 Cup frozen carrot pieces or 3 medium carrots cut in coins and boiled 4 minutes
- 1 Cup frozen or canned green peas, drained
- 2 Cups water
- 2 tsp. BEEF SOUP BASE
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. PENZEYS PEPPER
- 11/2 Cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 Cup shortening or butter
- 1/2 Cup milk
- 1 tsp. PARSLEY
Warm Farro Salad with Roasted Vegetables and Fontina

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and cut i Farro Salad with Roasted Vegetables and Fontinanto small chunks
- 1 cup grape tomatoes
- 6-8 cremini mushrooms, cut into small chunks
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and quartered
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 of a small head of radicchio, cored and sliced into chunks
- 1 cup farro
- 2-3 ounces fontina cheese, cut into small cubes
- small handful of chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Buttermilk Chicken Marinade

Mix all of the ingredients except the chicken in a gallon-size zippered bag
- 3-4 lbs. bone-in chicken pieces (the De Groots prefer chicken legs)
- 3/4 Cup buttermilk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed through a garlic press
- 1 TB. olive oil
- 2 tsp. KOSHER-STYLE FLAKE SALT
- 1 tsp. PENZEYS FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER
- 1 tsp. DILL WEED
- 1/8 tsp. CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKES

- 1 chopped onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup celery
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 can tomatoes

Vegetarian Bean Chili

Heat the olive oil in a large kettle over medium heat
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 red or green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 zucchini or carrot, grated (optional)
- 1 large garlic clove, minced (1/4 tsp. PENZEYS MINCED GARLIC)
- 2 TB. olive oil
- 1 14.5-oz. can diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 15-oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 15-oz. can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 15-oz. can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 4-oz. can diced green chiles
- 1 Cup water
- 11/2 TB. GROUND ANCHO PEPPER
- 1/2 TB. GROUND CUMIN
- 1 pinch MEDIUM CRUSHED PEPPERS
- 4-5 green onions, diced (optional)
